The eggs must be rolled three times each day. We roll the eggs using our fingers very carefully. Each student will get a turn to roll the eggs. After we roll the eggs we must wash our hands.

The eggs have arrived!
Today right as I was getting ready to kick off our new writing unit we got a knock at the door. We were thrilled to see that it was a mom from Mrs. Epperson's class with our eggs!
We marked each egg with an X on one side and an O on the other. This will help us when we roll the eggs. They must be rolled three times during the school day.
The eggs were placed in the incubator with all of the X's facing the top. We made sure that the temperature was at 100 degrees. We placed water in the bottom plastic dish to create humidity.
We also got to complete our first page in our chick journal. Tomorrow will be the first day we get to roll the eggs! We can't wait!!!
